Global Shorter Meetings Management Program
Released On Line
The Global Campaign for
Shorter Meetings has released a Death by Meetings on line
training program from its website which blows the cover on
poor meeting practice in the world and is aimed at cutting
costs for companies and taxpayer funded bureaucracy.
The program in the form of an
interactive game features four grand prix racing worms who
run their race with the roll of a dice as players try to get
to the end of their meeting.
Ron Smith, author of Death
by Meetings said the Death by Meetings Grand Prix
worm race rewards those who turn up on time with agendas and
penalises meeting groupies or the What if Wankers who delay
proceedings.
Mr Smith says the game, which
we hope to make a global training program in offices around
the world like a Grand Prix, is full of unexpected traps for
participants.
“The Global Campaign
for Shorter Meetings has used the online program format as
it is accessible to around 80% of the community from either
the work or home computer.”
Whilst the game has a fun element
it cuts straight to the chase on the activities of What if
Wankers whose sole job is to stop progress. The Legal Worrier
is a most expensive meeting participant and is sure to get
the entire office on its toes as they identify the delaying
tactics in meetings.
A warning on the website says the organisation
takes no legal responsibility for laughter around the world
during the race.
